Short Essay Assignment 2: DUE FEBRUARY 25

Write a first draft of a short argumentative essay on a philosphical issue of your choice. Your draft should be two to three pages (500-750 words) in length and should be structured as follows:

1. In an opening paragraph:
   1. Describe the issue or question that your essay concerns
   2. State concisely (in a sentence or two) what position you will defend concerning it
2. In the body of your essay:
   1. Explain the philosophical significance of your issue or question.
   2. Give an argument for your view.
   3. Consider other views and the relationship of your position to them.
   4. Consider possible objections to your view and how you would respond to them
3. Finish with a concluding paragraph summarizing what you have accomplished.

Although the topic is up to you, I suggest that you choose a topic related to the co-requisite course you are taking.
