Ancient Philosophy Workshops, 1978-2008

The Ancient Philosophy Workshop has been an annual event since 1978. The Workshop was co-founded by Deborah Modrak, when she held an appointment at Rice University, and by Alexander Mourelatos of the University of Texas at Austin. After the initial two years, Professor Mourelatos and the Joint Classics-Phiosophy Graduate Program in Ancient Philosophy at UT Austin played a major role in the establishment of the series. The University of Texas at Austin has hosted over half of the Workshops in subsequent years. Below is a list of the locations for workshops through 2008, with links to programs for the individual workshops when these are available.
